    A protected space for cycling which is at a higher level than the road. The cycle lane will be separated from lanes used by motorised vehicles with a sloped kerb. People walking along the footway will be at a higher level than the cycle lane with a sloped kerb. Slope kerbs allow vehicles to continue to cross the cycle lane for access e.g. a driveway entrance.
